preciousken Awesome Cali couple duo that has a strange mixture of Projekt Records and Prog Rock added an ingredient that makes everything better. Drum Daddy Dan Milligan (The Joy Thieves). Jennifers vocals really sail over a frozen fantasy world like a shield maiden bardic warrior. This track feels expansive and full of adventure. Exciting new direction. Favorite track: To My Apparition.

To My Apparition its all shifting swirling fissures growing losing hold on the anchor falling into caverns widening I’m flailing trying to grasping hold onto you fading into the blue you’re already slipping away a hollow has taken your place shell of the one I once knew an apparition who looks just like you CHORUS blind to the forces at play deception has clouded the way follow the false light until she discards you when she’s had her fill ahhh ahhhh ahhhhhhhhh CHORUS anguish haunting hurt is gnawing guilt is growing I’m giving up on you

Viper's Words from depths i’ comes Slith’ring on a Shimm’ring tongue Whispers Shifting Silence Speaks Viper’s words Slip into her ear Telling her Loathsome lies Whispers - slice the silence Shifting stories, quiv’ring quiet Turns in circles, twisted words All she knew were lies Twisted it speaks Silent soft she keeps Weaving words she sleeps Weeps over the lies (maybe gone down half step) Whispers steal her Sanity o’er the Tales he tells to keep her Close and trembling His forked tongue Her throat undone In her dream becomes It becomes the sword.

Unmoored 05:25
unmoored unchained unbound uncaged a mother, a lover, I’m always the other try to find my place while they seek to smother held back, constrained - my spirit to cower take away your voice and they take away your power uncertain unsure, difficult to stand placed in a box, where they have the upper hand unmoved. unfazed, my soul to perish (up) had me convinced this is what I cherished (up again) unmoored unchained unbound uncaged unmoored unchained, face in the gravel try to figure out, how it all unraveled unbound uncaged, on another level flying through the night rendezvous with the devil I’m inside the breaking point Let’s step into the unwinding I accept the unfamiliar And escape through the binding ==== starts on 8-and the tunnel the struggle in so much trouble its hard to tell if Im alive in the rubble uncertain unsure my world implodes try to survive while the self erodes unbound uncaged drunk on the power running past the fringe set to devour I dance I drown, I’m on another level (up) deep in the night doing shots with the devil (up) unmoored unchained unbound uncaged onward in ruinous pursuit forward to find reality I embrace and claim the uproot I cast off from - security i ask myself is this the interlude? or is this - just the landing? after - the long and bitter feud finally feel the expanding unmoored unchained unbound uncaged

TAMING THE NIGHT WOLVES Go softly, its not safe here No hiding, beasts are near Close the howls, step lightly Watch the mouths, tread quickly Darting fleeting silhouettes flickering Copses, moonlight, fearful listening Baying bellows frozen cowering Growls and shrieking finally breaking free Run swiftly, they’re coming At your heels, soon they’ll be No escape, overtaking Shifting shape, there’s no waking Sprinting, gasping, burning breathing Slipping, weaving, snowfall stumbling Limbs are failing, roars are rumbling Tripping, plummeting, facing up to the wolves Surrounding the clearing Eyes aglow growls low Soft breaths steadfast, still Realize friends not foes Run swiftly, we are coming At your heels, soon we’ll be No escape, overtaking Shifting shape, they obey me
5.
In the Undercurrent Oscillate the flow Plummet but go slow Rise up then descend Don’t break yet just bend [repeat] Submerge the psyche Immerse to refresh Sacrifice the heart Maintain mind and flesh [repeat] Sinking down, hold breath Treading two and two Stabilize the depth To start anew [BREAK, CHORAL] Break into the flow Hold on don’t let go Fall into the flow Hold on just let go

about

Emerging dark wave/alt rock band Sword Tongue explodes back onto the scene with their third EP, Taming the Night Wolves.

The new sound bursting from these songs is an intense, skillfully woven sonic voyage that does not let up from start to finish. The signature alluring vocals and mesmerizing guitar tones that audiences have come to admire are married with hard hittng drum lines and dark, crunchy percussive textures that increase the intensity and urgency.

The band turns it up to 11 with new drummer and producer Dan Milligan who has worked with members of Ministry, Front 242, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Stabbing Westward, and KMFDM, among others. Milligan wields his vision and genius to infuse Sword Tongue’s music with more depth, drive, and dimension.

Together, Milligan, Maleki, and Wilde forge a new path as collaborators, taking the music into the blended landscape of trip hop, industrial, and progressive rock reminiscent of the 90s alternative scene.

The mission directive remains the same - Sword Tongue truly creates dark music for dark times.
